Installation
Install this module to enable the Whatsapp Chatbot feature for your business.
Configuration
- Greeting Message
Set a welcome message that users will receive automatically when they first start a conversation.
Example : Welcome To Pragtech! - Ending Message
Configure a closing message sent at the end of the conversation or flow.
Example: Thank You!! - WhatsApp Integrators
Select the service provider for WhatsApp integration (e.g., Meta). - Meta Phone Number ID
Enter your Meta phone number ID for API-based WhatsApp communication.
Example : 713791655322224 - Meta API Token
Provide your API token to authenticate and connect your Odoo instance with WhatsApp. (Hidden/secure field in the system) - Meta Webhook Verify Token
Enter the verification token required for webhook setup.
Example: 32222 - Initial Message
Configure trigger keywords that start the chatbot conversation.
Example: hello, hi, hey - Main Menu Prefix
Define the character that will take the user back to the main menu.
Example: * - Previous Menu Prefix
Define the character to navigate back to the previous menu.
Example: # - WhatsApp Chatbot Menu
Allows users to define hierarchical chatbot flows by creating parent and child menu records. - Chatbot Actions
Each menu item can be assigned a specific Action Type to determine the response sent to the user.- Send Text
- Send Image
- Send Video
- Send Audio
- Send File
- Input Code Mapping
Each action/menu option is linked with trigger codes (e.g., 1, #, *) that the user types. - Main & Back Navigation Codes
Supports global shortcuts such as * for Main Menu and # for Previous Menu. - Fallback/Error Reply
If users enter an invalid code, a predefined error message is sent guiding them back to options.
Workflow
- When we send the message Hello, Hey or Hi. This is not case sensitive. It will give the response based on what we have configured.
- If we type M or m it will give another response based on what we have configured.
- If we send the wrong code then it will give the configured error message.
- If we send the proper code like AP or ap etc then it will give the below response.
- If we want to go to the Main Menu (We can send the * ) or Previous Menu (We can send the #) then we can also send the code for that. This code is also dynamic for Main and Previous Menu. We can configure this depending on our requirements.
- If we send the *(Which we have set the Main Menu Code) then it will give the Main Menu response.
- Again we send M then send AP so it will return the below Message.
- In this Example we have added the 4 to 5 level Hierarchy.
- If we type 1 and send then it will give us another list of the options. Again if we type lj or LJ then it will give us another menu. This is the last one. It is based on the configuration.
- In the above last message we have configured a different action. This example is set for the testing purpose.
- Now i Type the L1 and send it. It will give the below response.
- Here it gives the response the Audio File and the Image File because we have configured it in the action. Which we have already configured above.
- If we Type the L2 and send it. It will give the below response.
- Above response comes because we have configured it below.
- If we Type the L3 and send it. It will give the below response
- Above response comes because we have configured it below.
- If we Type the L5 and send it. It will give the below response.
- Above response comes because we have configured it below

Yes. To use the chatbot for automated replies, you need access to the WhatsApp Business API (via providers like Meta Cloud API). A regular WhatsApp number will not work for automation.
You can only use an existing number if it is not already registered in WhatsApp mobile or WhatsApp Business App. If it is, it must be migrated to the API account.
Yes. The chatbot can send and receive multimedia such as images, PDFs, videos, and audio.
