Installation
Install this module to enable the Whatsapp for Lead Generation feature for your business.
Configuration
- WhatsApp Service Provider:Select the provider you are using for integration.Example: Meta.
- Meta Phone Number ID:Enter the Phone Number ID assigned by Meta. This is used to send and receive WhatsApp messages.Example: 103330236087682
- Meta WhatsApp Business Account ID:Provide your registered WhatsApp Business Account ID.Example: 109457952133963
- Meta API Token :Paste your WhatsApp API Access Token. This is required to authenticate your Odoo system with Meta. (Field will remain hidden for security.)
- Meta Webhook Verify Token:Enter the token used to verify webhook communication between Meta and Odoo.Example: 1005
- Send Message Through Template (Checkbox):Enable this option if you want all outbound messages to be sent using pre-approved WhatsApp templates.
Test Connection:After entering the API details, click Test Connection to ensure the WhatsApp integration is working properly.
Workflow
- When a customer initiates an inquiry, a CRM lead will be generated in Odoo, including the message details.
- Owners can send messages to customers directly from the lead using the "Send WhatsApp Message" button, which delivers the message to the customer's WhatsApp account.
- The conversation between the owner and the customer will be tracked within the generated lead form.
Send multiple Lead/Opportunity WhatsApp messages in a single click from list view.
Go to the CRM module and select multiple leads received via WhatsApp.Then, click the Action button and choose Send Direct Msg Crm to send messages to the selected leads.
Keyword-Based Team Assignment for Leads
Define specific keywords (e.g., “demo”, “support”, “pricing”) and assign each keyword to a Sales Team.
When a WhatsApp message with one of these keywords is received, Odoo will automatically:
- Create a new lead under CRM → Leads.
- Assign the lead to the mapped Sales Team.

Store Customer Address & Details from WhatsApp in CRM Lead
When a WhatsApp message is received from a contact, Odoo will parse and store their information, such as:
- Phone Number
- Address
- Email (if provided)
- Message Content
- Job Role
- Company Name
- Website
- This information is auto-filled into CRM Lead form fields.
- You can verify the details under CRM → Leads → [Lead Name].
- Future WhatsApp messages will sync and update the lead automatically.
