SchoolOS Counseling, Wellbeing & Safeguarding brings professional, confidential student support to Odoo 19. Teachers raise short referrals; counseling officers triage them into confidential cases with session logs, next steps and follow-ups. Safeguarding concerns - with chronology, body-map attachments and external agency referrals - are visible only to the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the officer who reported them. Anonymous-feeling wellbeing surveys reach students on the portal, while every counseling record stays invisible to general school administration: even a principal needs an explicitly granted counseling role to see a single case.

Privacy & Access - read before deployment
Counseling and safeguarding records are the most sensitive data in SchoolOS. They are visible only to the Counseling Officer and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) groups - a principal, registrar or super-admin opening these records gets an Access Error by design (verified by automated test).
Important: Odoo's technical Settings / Administration: Settings right (base.group_system) bypasses all access rules at the framework level. To preserve confidentiality, do not grant principals or registrars that technical right - use a dedicated, minimally-privileged administrator account for system configuration, kept separate from school-leadership logins.
