Odoo POS Employee Wise Access Control
The
POS Employee Wise Access Control
provides a powerful and centralized solution to manage
employee-wise permissions within the Odoo Point of Sale system.
Designed to enhance Odoo’s native POS security, this module enables administrators to
precisely control what cashiers and staff can see and perform—without modifying
core POS code or relying on complex customizations.
The module offers complete control over POS interface elements including
numpad actions, quantity, price, discount, payment screens, validation, refunds,
invoicing, customer management, and order operations from a single, unified
configuration.
Access rules can be applied per employee, making it ideal for
retail stores, restaurants, and multi-branch POS environments requiring flexible
and scalable access control.
Administrators can hide or restrict critical POS actions such as
cancel order, load order, split bill, transfer/merge orders, cash in/out,
close register, ship later, and backend access, ensuring staff interact only with
authorized POS features. Customer-related controls allow hiding
customer creation, notes, guest customers and enforcing
cashier-wise customer and order visibility.
For restaurant-based POS setups, the module enables fine-grained control over
tables, floors, tabs, courses, floor plans, and restaurant operations,
helping managers restrict advanced actions while maintaining smooth front-end operations.
Additional controls over pricelists, product categories, taxes, tips,

1. Activate the "POS Employee Access Right" module.
2. In the "Point of Sale" module, click on the Configuration menu and then click on the "POS Employee Access Control" submenu.
3. 1. Add multiple employees in the Employee Name field., 2. Add a shop in the "POS Shop" field., 3. This access rule will be applied only when the "Active" checkbox is enabled., 4. And select the items you want to hide.
4. 1. Select a POS shop in the "Point of Sale" field., 2. In the "PoS Interface" section, select the "Log in with Employees" option., 3. In the "Advanced Rights" field, add an employee.
1.In the employee account, the numpad is visible in the POS shop.
2. In the POS shops "Furniture Shop" and "Bar", the numpad has been hidden for the employees "Meet Pate" and "Yash Patel".
3. After selecting a product, the numpad is successfully not visible for the employee Meet Patel.
1. When a product is selected, the "Qty", "%", "Price", and "+/−" buttons inside the numpad work perfectly for the employee Meet Patel.
2. In the "Furniture Shop" and "Bar" POS shops, the numpad buttons "Quantity", "Discount", "Price", and "+/−" have been disabled for the employees "Meet Patel" and "Yash Patel".
3. The "Qty", "%", "Price", and "+/−" buttons inside the numpad have been successfully disabled for the employee Meet Patel.
1. The Customer, Note, and Payment buttons are visible for the employee "Meet Patel".
2. In the "Furniture Shop" and "Bar" POS shops, hide the "Payment", "Customer", and "Internal Note" buttons for the employees "Meet Patel" and "Yash Patel".
3. The Customer, Note, and Payment buttons are successfully hidden for the employee Meet Patel.
1. The "Create" button for creating a customer is visible for the employee Meet Patel.
2. In the "Furniture Shop" and "Bar" POS shops, hide the "Customer Create" button for the employees "Meet Patel" and "Yash Patel".

1. The "Customer Note", "Bill", "Edit Order Name", "Pricelist", "Refund", "Info", and "Cancel Order" actions are visible for the employee Meet Patel.
2. In the "Furniture Shop" and "Bar" shops, hide the "Customer Note", "Pricelist", "Refund", "Cancel Order", "Info Order", "Edit Order", and "Bill" buttons for the employees "Meet Patel" and "Yash Patel".
3. The "Customer Note", "Pricelist", "Refund", "Cancel Order", "Info Order", "Edit Order", and "Bill" buttons are successfully hidden for the employee "Meet Patel".
