POS Close session and post Journal entries button
Odoo base allows you to close a session and post a journal entry from within the POS software, however it might be time consuming to open the POS app for each shop just to post a journal entry. To address this issue, we created an app that allows you to close and submit journal entries outside of the POS apps. Scroll below to know its functionality.
- You can post journal entries and close sessions outside of the POS app, saving time and effort.
- It allows you to manage the different stages of a POS session effectively.
- Review details of the POSsession before closing the session to ensure accuracy.
- The app is user-friendly and doesn't require configurations, making it easy to use.
Close Session and POST entries Button
After installing the app, open POS dashboard where all shop/ restaurant are listed, you will notice a button âClose session and post entriesâ Click on the Button to close the current session & post journal entries.
Redirect to new Page
As soon as you will click on the button, you will redirect to
new
page,
you can also open this page by going to Ordersâ session
The session is currently in the "IN PROGRESS" stage.
Close session POP up
When you click on the âClose session and post journal entry buttonâ a pop window will open where all details like total orders, Amount, payment methods will display regarding the session, check everything and click on close session.
After Close the session
When you close the session, it moves to the "Close & Posted"
stage,
confirming that the session has been successfully closed, and the
journal entry has been recorded.
Journal Entry
To confirm a journal entry, follow these
steps:
Go to the "Accountingâaccountingâ journal entry.
In the search bar, enter the POS order number as the reference
number (e.g., POS0006).
You will then be able to view the journal entries related to closed
sessions.
You can also refer to the image for a visual guide.
This process allows you to easily access and review journal entries
associated
with closed sessions by searching for them using the POS order
number as a reference.
