Streamline Your Odoo Inventory with the Product Image Import Feature
After installing the module, a new "Product Image Import" function will be available in the Inventory module. To use this feature, go to Inventory → Configuration → Product Image Import → Import Images. This will allow you to upload a ZIP file containing images for your products.

Match Product Images by Name, Barcode, or Reference in Odoo
Let's dive into a database and see how the product image import functionality works by uploading an image. The module supports image files in .png, .jpg, and .jpeg formats. For example, we have a product named "Pizza" that currently does not have an image. In this case, we consider the display name as the import reference for the product image. Similarly, we have a product named "Burger" without an image, where the barcode is used as the import reference. Lastly, for a product named "Sandwich" without an image, we use the internal reference as the import reference. This flexibility allows you to easily match images to products based on different identifiers.
Easily Import Product Images in Odoo Using a ZIP File
To import product images, simply navigate to the Inventory module → Configuration → Product Images. Here is the ZIP file that we are going to import, which contains the images to be uploaded into Odoo.
Validation Error when importing the images without the zip file.
When we import the images without the Zip file ,and click on the Confirm button in the wizard it will show the Validation Error as "The Uploaded file is not a valid Zip file".
Viewing Matched and Unmatched Product Images After Importing in Odoo
When we import the ZIP file, the images that have been successfully matched will appear in the updated product fields, while unmatched images will be listed under the unmatched filenames fields. Unmatched files indicate that the image did not match the product's display name, internal reference, or barcode in Odoo. The unmatched filenames fields allow you to easily identify which product images were not updated in Odoo.
Linking Images to Products After ZIP File Upload in Odoo
Once the ZIP file is uploaded, the images will be linked to the corresponding products based on specific conditions. You can then view the products with their updated images.
