Advanced List Arrow Navigation

Advanced List Arrow Navigation adds spreadsheet-like keyboard navigation to Odoo list views, allowing users to move efficiently between editable cells using arrow keys, Enter, Tab, and Shift+Tab. It enables smooth vertical and horizontal navigation across rows and fields without using the mouse, making data entry faster, easier, and more intuitive in editable list views.

The cursor can be smoothly navigated within one2many fields using arrow keys for directional movement (left, right, up, and down).


Arrow key navigation is also supported in editable list views. For example, in the Chart of Accounts list view, users can move the cursor seamlessly up, down, left, and right.

What does this module do?

This module enables spreadsheet-like keyboard navigation in Odoo list (tree) views, allowing users to move between rows and editable fields using arrow keys, Enter, Tab, and Shift+Tab.

Where does this module work in Odoo?

It works in editable list (tree) views across the Odoo backend where inline data entry is enabled.

Does it affect normal typing inside input fields?

No. Left and Right arrow keys work normally inside inputs and text-areas, and only move to another cell when the cursor reaches the start or end.

How does the Enter key behave?

The Enter key moves the cursor to the same column in the next row, similar to Arrow Down, making data entry faster.

Does this module require any configuration?

No additional configuration is needed. Once installed, it works automatically in supported list views.
