Facebook Messenger Integration with Odoo

Facebook Messenger Integration Odoo app connects Facebook Direct Messages with Odoo Discuss,
allowing businesses to manage all customer chats from one place. With this app, messages and
attachments sent by Facebook users appear automatically in Odoo Discuss, and your team can reply
directly from Odoo—including sending back images or files.
Every new message creates a dedicated Discuss channel for the Facebook user, keeping
conversations organized. Contacts are created automatically if they don’t already exist, with
the Facebook ID and name stored for future use. A quick-access button lets you open chats
directly from the contact form.
The app also supports viewing complete conversation history, message details, and attachments,
all inside Odoo. This makes customer communication faster, more professional, and easier to
track without switching between platforms.

Message Receiving Process
This video demonstrates the automatic process triggered when a new message is received from Facebook. As soon as a message arrives, a real-time notification is generated in Odoo, and a dedicated Discuss channel is automatically created for that Facebook user. This helps ensure that each conversation is well-organized and easily accessible within Odoo Discuss.

Meta Integration
From here, you can verify your access token status, generate the webhook callback URL and verification token required for Meta webhook setup, and automatically get the App ID, Facebook Account ID, Usename and Profile Picture when click on Get Status Button. These steps are essential to ensure that Facebook messages are successfully received and displayed in the Odoo Discuss module.

Automatic Contact Creation
When a message is received from an Facebook user, a new contact is automatically created in Odoo if it doesn’t already exist. The system captures the sender’s Facebook ID and name to generate a contact entry, making future interactions organized and easily trackable.

Direct Chat Access from Contact
Displays the Facebook Messenger ID directly within the contact form. A quick-access button is provided next to the ID, allowing users to instantly open the related Discuss chat. This improves communication flow by enabling one-click access to ongoing conversations from the contact's profile.

Full Conversation View in Discuss
Displays the list of incoming Facebook messages in the Discuss sidebar, categorized by sender or thread. The main chat window shows the complete conversation, including text messages and media attachments. Users can directly read, reply, and exchange attachments from here, enabling smooth and centralized communication within Odoo.

Messages History
Shows a detailed tree view of all past Facebook message interactions, including timestamps, sender info, and message type. Alongside, the floating chat window provides quick access to the ongoing conversation, allowing users to view history and reply in real-time without leaving the current screen.

Detailed Message History View
Displays a complete record of each Facebook message in a structured form view. It includes key information such as message type, sender's Facebook ID, message ID, linked contact, Facebook account ID, conversation ID, meta provider, attachments, and the actual message content. This detailed view helps in maintaining transparency, debugging, and tracking every interaction with precision.
