User wise Discuss Access Control | Hide Chat, Messaging & Discuss App
Take full control over internal communication by restricting access to the Discuss module, chat
messaging, and notification pop-ups on a per-user basis.
By default, Odoo allows all internal users to access the Discuss application, which can lead to
unnecessary distractions, excessive communication, and reduced productivity. This module solves that
problem by introducing a smart user-level control system that enables administrators to allow or
restrict access to chat and messaging features.
With a simple checkbox on the user form, you can decide who can use the Discuss app, see the
messaging icon, and receive chat pop-ups. The module ensures a cleaner interface for restricted
users while maintaining seamless communication for authorized team members.
It is ideal for organizations that want to improve focus, enforce communication policies, and
provide a distraction-free working environment for specific roles like accounting, warehouse, or
operations teams.
The module integrates smoothly with the existing system without overriding core functionality,
ensuring stability and compatibility.
