Partner Mail Insights (Incoming/Outgoing)
This module adds two smart buttons on the Contact form to track Incoming and Outgoing Emails with
real-time counts.
This module enhances the Contacts app by adding two new smart buttons directly on the contact form:
Incoming Emails and Outgoing Emails. These buttons display real-time counts of emails associated
with each contact, helping users quickly understand the level of communication exchanged. The
counters are automatically computed based on the partnerâs email address and their role as an
author, sender, or recipient of the mail.
With a single click, users can open filtered views of related mails. The Incoming Emails button shows all messages received from the contact (via email_from or authored by them), while the Outgoing Emails button displays all messages sent to them (via recipients, email_to, or email_cc). This gives sales, support, and communication teams a central point to track correspondence directly from the partnerâs profile, saving time and improving traceability.

1. Smart Buttons on Contact Form
After installing the module, you will see two new smart buttons on the Contact form view. From here, you can simply type a message and send it via email, while the buttons will automatically track and display the count of incoming and outgoing mails for that contact.
2. Send a message
Now, type your message as shown in the picture and click Send to deliver it.
3. Outgoing Mail Count Update
After sending a message, its reply will appear as usual. At the same time, the Outgoing Emails smart button will show a count of 1 because the message is already recorded in the outgoing section.
4. Outgoing Mail List View
After clicking on the Outgoing Emails smart button, a list view will appear as shown in the picture. This view displays details such as the Date, Subject, User, and Status of each outgoing mail.
5. Outgoing Mail Details
In the outgoing mail view, you can see detailed information as shown in the picture. This includes where the mail is from, the recipient IDs, and the full message content in the body section.
6. Incoming Mail Count
Now, as shown in the picture, you can also see the Incoming Emails count appearing for another partner. This indicates that the partner has received a message, and the count is automatically updated in the smart button.
7. Incoming Mail List View
After clicking on the Incoming Emails smart button, a list view of all incoming mails is displayed. This view shows detailed information such as the Date, Subject, User, and Status of each incoming mail.
8. Incoming Mail Form View
After opening a particular incoming mail record from the list, its form view will appear as shown in the picture. This view provides complete details, including where the mail is from, the recipient IDs, and the full message content in the body section.
9. Emails Menu Access
In addition to the smart buttons, a new Emails section is added to the menu bar. From this menu, you can directly access and browse all mail records. As shown in the picture, this gives you another way to view full details of emails, including sender, recipients, subject, status, and message content.
