Vendor Payment Remittance

This module enhances Vendor Payments in Odoo by enabling users to generate, print, and email a professional Remittance Advice directly from the payment form. It provides a dedicated PDF report with complete payment details and displays the company signature if configured. Users can send it through the "Send Receipt by Email" option with automatic PDF attachment. When enabled, a custom Remittance Advice email template is applied; otherwise, the standard payment email template is used for smooth vendor communication.

1. Email Template Configuration for Remittance Advice

After activating the module, navigate to Settings > Technical > Email > Email Templates. Open the template named "Remittance Advice (Vendor Payments)" from the list. In the form view, you can review and configure the email content, subject, and attachment settings as shown in the attached image.

2. Remittance Advice Configuration in Vendor Payments

Navigate to Accounting > Vendors > Payments and open an existing payment or create a new one, as shown in the image. After entering the required payment details, scroll down to the Remittance Advice Configuration section. When you enable the Remittance Advice option (boolean field), an additional field becomes available allowing you to select the Remittance Advice template. If this option is not enabled or no template is configured, the system automatically uses the default Odoo payment email template,then after simply confirm this payment.

3. Send Remittance Advice by Email

After confirming the payment, click on the Action icon in the top menu. From the dropdown options, select "Send Receipt by Email" This will open the email composer window, allowing you to review and send the Remittance Advice to the vendor.

4. Email Confirmation Wizard

Once you click "Send Receipt by Email" a confirmation wizard will open. This window displays the recipient (To), subject, and email content along with the attached Remittance Advice PDF, allowing you to review the details before sending the email,then click on send to send mail.

5. Email Sent with Attachment

As shown in the attached image, the email has been successfully sent to the recipient. The system confirms delivery in the payment record, ensuring the Remittance Advice is properly shared and documented.

6. Print Remittance Advice PDF

You can also print the Remittance Advice directly by clicking the Action icon > Print > Remittance Advice (PDF). This will generate and download the professionally formatted PDF report for printing or record keeping.

7. PDF Report Output

Remittance Advice is generated as a professionally formatted PDF and prints exactly as shown in the attached image, ensuring a clean and consistent layout for vendor communication.
