What is the purpose of the MRP Report ZIP Export with Password Protection feature?

This feature allows users to export and download multiple MRP QWeb reports (such as Manufacturing Orders, Work Orders, and Production Orders) into a single, password-protected ZIP file, enhancing both efficiency and security in report management.

Which reports can be exported using this feature?

You can export a variety of MRP-related QWeb reports, including Manufacturing Orders, Work Orders, and Production Orders.

How do I enable password protection for the ZIP file?

During the export process, you will be prompted to set a password for the ZIP file. This password will protect the contents of the ZIP file, ensuring that only authorized users can access it.

What file formats are supported within the ZIP file?

The ZIP file will contain QWeb-generated reports in the format they were originally generated, typically as PDF files.

Can I export reports from multiple MRP modules at once?

Yes, the feature allows you to select and export reports from various MRP modules in a single operation, consolidating them into one ZIP file.

What happens if I forget the password for the ZIP file?

If you forget the password, you will not be able to open the ZIP file. It’s important to securely store the password or share it with authorized personnel.

How does this feature enhance data security?

By applying password protection to the ZIP file, this feature ensures that sensitive MRP data is securely stored and shared, reducing the risk of unauthorized access.

Is there a limit to the number of reports I can export at once?

The module is designed to handle bulk exports, so you can export a large number of reports at once. The exact limit may depend on your server capacity and Odoo installation.

Where do I find the option to export MRP reports with ZIP password protection?

You can access this feature within the MRP module by navigating to the report export options. The process will guide you through selecting reports and setting up ZIP file protection.

Can I re-export reports if I need to make changes?

Yes, you can re-export reports at any time by following the same process. If needed, you can set a new password or overwrite the previous ZIP file.

Does the password protection apply to individual files within the ZIP, or just the ZIP file itself?

The password protection applies to the ZIP file as a whole. Once the ZIP is unlocked, all included files can be accessed.
